June , 2008 Irrigators Welcome Transparency Decision National
Plan for Water Security On
the 25th January 2007, the Prime Minister announced details of the Federal Government's
National Plan for Water Security (NPWS). The introduction of this Plan will have
far-reaching implications for the management of water resources across the Murray-Darling
Basin. NSW
Irrigators' Council will be actively participating in the development of industry
responses to the many aspects of the NPWS. Council's participation will be done
in consultation with other industry organisations, with the objective of ensuring
that the highest quality input is made on behalf of its irrigator members across
NSW. On
